i've been using these when riding my motorcycle back from work every night. they've got remarkably good optical quality, both in the clear section and in the magnified. and i was quite surprised to find that they didn't scratch at all while living in the cordura nylon pocket of my aerostich riding suit.
they provide good wind protection up to 65 mph w/ the helmet's faceshield open, and their ANSI Z87+ rating means they should withstand the impact of a 1/4" steel ball at that speed. the magnifying insert makes it easy to read the odometer on my aprilia tuono, as well as the fine print on maps, manuals, and (sadly) official california highway patrol "spirited driving" awards.
they're a bargain and an excellent product. highly recommended.
