I purchased these for a present for my 13 y.o. son. He's into air soft guns and as the movie goes, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!", I was worried he might do such a thing! He hasn't yet and the glasses have held up very well! He enjoys them because he looks, "Cool".

the dramatically mirrored (you may not realize til you take the opportunity to look at yourself) add a perverse and original quality to a practical and safety product. if you do not care for over-sized and bulky eyewear hanging off your face, you should be pleased by the modest scale of these. medium sized noggins and down should find these functional and aesthetically pleasing. i do a lot of yard work in an extensive garden full of threatening protrusions and find eye protection indispensable. these are light, with full coverage for everything from cleaning out brush to splitting wood. i like them so much i'm using them while bicycling. just remember, i can think of no practical purpose whatsoever for the exterior mirrors...they are simply a design idiosyncrasy which may appeal or not...most observers probably view them as 'alienating.'
